Lakefront Estate in Sierra Cedar Shake
Lake Geneva, WI I Residential Roofing
BRAVA Sierra Cedar Shake . Metal . TPO . Siding . Copper Accents
Five materials, one roofline. The house sits directly on Geneva Lake, and almost every plane of the roof is visible from the water, the lawn, or the drive. It’s also a building with no single roof condition: steep shake planes over the main house, low-slope sections at the balcony, a glass atrium, and a copper cupola in the middle of it.
BRAVA Sierra Cedar Shake carries the main roof. Standing seam handles the pitches too shallow for shake. A TPO membrane goes under the upper balcony where the deck is flat and walked on. New cedar shake siding ties the walls to the roof, and the skylights were replaced while the deck was open — which is the only sensible time to do it.
What Made it Different?
No single roof condition anywhere on the building — steep shake, low-slope membrane, a glass atrium, and a copper cupola. Getting five materials to meet correctly is the whole job.
