BRAVA Cedar Shake Lake Forest & Standing Seam
The main roof is steep and cut up — multiple dormers, two cupolas, and several valleys, all visible from the street and from the lake. That’s a roof where a repeating pattern would show, so the BRAVA courses were laid multi-width to keep the texture irregular. The colour is Lake Forest, a grey-green that sits against the blue-grey siding without competing with it.
The lakeside porch was a different problem — long, low-pitch, below what any shake can shed — so it got dark standing seam instead. And the detached garage was built from scratch, which meant every material decision on the house had to be repeated on a new structure and still read as though both had always been there.
Bronze Metalwork & Copper Snow Guards
Bronze gutters and downspouts throughout, with copper snow guards in staggered rows above the porch, the entries, and the walkway.
General Contracting
A custom detached garage built from the ground up — framed, sided, and roofed in the same BRAVA Cedar Shake so it reads as original to the property.
